When Pink Squid need to hire it is often for niche roles where specific experience is required and a culture fit is essential. Typical vacancies include Project Managers, Account Directors and Media Strategy Managers.

The Problem

Pink Squid are a rapidly expanding agency with headquarters in London and a recent expansion opening a second office in the US. They had previously used recruitment agencies but wanted to explore ways to reduce the cost per hire while still attracting the best people for the role. They had some key roles they needed to fill which required a specific combination of culture and experience.

The Solution

After discussing the available options that ecruit offer, Pink Squid decided the Headhunter package would be the best option. They were looking to hire a Project Manager and as they wanted to attract the very best candidates, decided they wanted to look at the whole of the candidate market and not just passive candidates.

The Results

ecruit shortlisted 30 people within the first few days of the campaign with 11 of them being introduced. The candidates were so strong that Pink Squid ended up hiring 2 of them.

As there were was no additional cost for hiring an extra candidate this meant the cost per hire was just £497 each. 

Hiring through a traditional recruitment agency would have cost over £10k. 

Since then Pink Squid has increased their use of our platform and they have filled several more vacancies via ecruit, including:

  • Project Manager (30 people shortlisted, 11 introduced, 2 hired – cost per hire of £497)
  • Account Director (30 people shortlisted, 7 interviewed, 2 hired – cost per hire of £497)
  • Media Strategy Manager (30 people shortlisted, 8 interviewed, 1 hired – cost per hire of £995)
